This course extends students’ experience and understanding of functions. Students will explore and analyze the properties of polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; develop techniques for combining and transforming functions; and deepen their understanding of rates of change.
Through a focus on algebraic skills, function modeling, and mathematical reasoning, students will strengthen the foundational knowledge required for success in university-level mathematics.
Students preparing to take MCV4U – Calculus and Vectors or those who wish to consolidate their mathematical skills before entering a wide range of university programs.
