This course broadens students’ understanding of mathematics through a focus on data analysis and probability. Students will learn how to effectively organize and analyze large sets of information, explore and apply concepts of probability, and draw meaningful conclusions from statistical investigations.
A key component of the course is a culminating project, where students will conduct an independent investigation integrating key statistical concepts and techniques. Throughout the course, students will also strengthen their mathematical reasoning, communication, and problem- solving skills.
Students planning to pursue university programs in business, the social sciences or the humanities.
