ICS4U Grade 12 Computer Science

This course enables students to further develop their understanding of computer science concepts and programming skills. Emphasizing modular design principles, students will design, write, and maintain complex, fully documented programs that adhere to industry standards and practices.

Throughout the course, students will:

Manage a large-scale software development project, from initial planning and design to implementation, testing, and final review.
Apply structured problem-solving methods and object-oriented programming techniques.
Explore advanced programming constructs, including recursion, data structures, and algorithm efficiency.

In addition to technical skills, the course encourages thoughtful reflection on the ethical, societal, and environmental implications of computing, while also exploring emerging technologies, current research, and career pathways in the field of computer science.
