This course consolidates students’ literacy, communication, and critical and creative thinking
skills—essential for success in both academic settings and daily life.

Throughout the ENG4U course, students will analyze a range of complex literary, informational,
and graphic texts from diverse periods, cultures, and perspectives. They will also produce oral,
written, and media works in a variety of forms, with an emphasis on academic expression and
clarity.
