CPW4U Grade 12 Canadian and International Politic

This course explores political issues, events, and developments of national and global significance. Students will investigate the processes of political decision-making and examine how individuals, groups, and institutions in Canada and around the world respond to and shape political issues.

Throughout the course, students will:

Analyze a range of political ideologies, institutions, and power structures.
Explore Canada's role in international relations and global governance.
Develop and communicate informed opinions about complex political topics.
Strengthen critical thinking, debate, and research skills through analysis of current events and case studies.

Recommended for:

Students interested in political science, international relations, public administration, law or social sciences at the post-secondary level.
